In the spring of 2022, my team and I had the privilege of working alongside the Texas A&M Corps of Cadets as student consultants.
THE TASK
- Understand the Corps' target market for recruiting efforts
- Provide recommendations in order to increase the Corps of Cadets membership from 2,100 to 3,000 members over the next few years
THE STRATEGY
- Developed a 3-step approach consisting of analysis, research, and recommended solutions
- Conducted a mixture of outfit leader interviews, student focus groups, and surveys - to current cadets, cadets who left the Corps, current Texas A&M students, and prospective members who attend Spend the Night with the Corps
THE RESULT
- Analyzed 1,500+ survey responses
- Conducted 50 interviews - both with outfit recruiting officers and with the head of recruiting staff
- Held 2 focus groups with current Texas A&M students
- Provided quantitative + qualitative recommendations for the ideal target market and room for improvement in the recruiting process
- Presented findings to Texas A&M Corps staff
